Welcome to the London Stock Exchange Conference: Return of the IPO

Over 170 delegates attended the annual London Stock Exchange conference “Return of the IPO” on 6 -7 July 2011 which was aimed at professional advisers and international issuers from Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.

Xavier Rolet, CEO of the London Stock Exchange Group, and Dmitry Pankin, Head of the Federal Financial Markets Service of Russia, delivered keynote addresses in which they spoke about milestone developments in the global and Russian capital markets over the past 12 months and shared their insights on new and exciting opportunities for issuers and investors in 2011/2012.

Mr Pankin briefed the audience about the proposed regulatory changes designed to enhance domestic market liquidity and boost capital inflows into the Russian capital markets.

Speakers discussed successful IPOs in 2011 and commented on IPO pricing, investor criteria, shareholder identification, regulatory developments, IPO preparation and good governance practices.
